An investigation on the geomechanical properties of fiber reinforced cohesive soils

In recent years, the use of natural and synthetic fibers in soil improvement has become widespread mechanics applications. Easy to low cost have been subject many geotechnical researches years. this study, results previous mechanical experiments performed on fiber-cohesive mixtures were reviewed a systematical approach. Based data derived from experimental studies available literature, it observed that various properties including strength improved with increasing density up certain level. The percentage added fiber significant effect improving properties. statistical analysis, simple correlation relationships suggested based investigated test database.
